Children’s allergies

Seasonal allergic rhinitis, or hay fever as it is often called, is a common problem in infants and children. Symptoms may include a stuffy or runny nose; sneezing; itchy, watery eyes; and a scratchy or sore throat. Many children with seasonal allergies claim they feel slow or drowsy, which could affect their learning or ability to think clearly.

In a clinical trial studying the effect of seasonal allergies on children’s learning, children with allergies performed less well than nonallergic (healthy) children on knowledge-based measures.

This section of the Web site will provide more insight on children’s allergies: causes, symptoms, consequences, and the power of effective treatments like Allegra for Kids.
